Youth Tech Team

The Garage delivered a fantastic project in 2023 for young people interested in working backstage on the technical side of music/performance events.

We were looking for people aged 14-21 years old who wanted to learn and develop sound, lighting and setup skills for music/performance events.

This opportunity was FREE, but did require commitment to the training sessions and gigs.

Now we’re looking for people to take part in 2024. To express an interest, see how to book below.

What does the project involve?

  • 5 x training sessions on sound, lighting and setup for music/performance events
  • Supported hands-on technical experience at range of music/performance events including Unsigned at The Waterfront

  • Spaces on the project are limited and will be given on a first come first served basis
  • This opportunity is free, but does require commitment to the training sessions and gigs which are at a variety of dates and time. Please look at the schedule and check your availability before booking onto the project
