Youth Board

Are you aged 14-20 and interested in having an influence on the decision-making process and organisational running of The Garage?

What is the youth board?

The Garage Youth Board has been running in different modes for more than 10 years.

As a member of the Youth Board you will be involved in four consultations across the year. These sessions will be creative workshops where we will explore topics, goals, objectives and values and see how they apply to work happening at The Garage. From exploring the redesign of our building through to examining the language we use.

With your support we will challenge our ideas and look to make meaningful and sustained change in our work.

Alongside this, the Youth Board will meet at least once a month where you will have control over your own programme of opportunities supported by members of The Garage team.

Within this programme you could run your own creative project, have talks from industry professionals, participate in training, access creative career advice and gain work experience.

Sessions will be held on Thursdays, 5pm-7pm, starting on 12 October.
