The Garage is one of Norwich’s leading performing arts venues offering a range of activities for people of all ages but with a particular focus on young people.
Our great facilities are here to hire too! High spec, comfortable, flexible and city central, we’ve a range of rooms, studios and a theatre space that can deliver a friendly, quality venue for your event, project or class.
Our fully accessible, air-conditioned spaces can be used individually or in tandem depending on your requirements and the size of your event. We also offer in-house event management experience, excellent equipment and support promoting your event.
We are a charity. By deciding to hire our facilities and skills, you’re helping support other activities here at The Garage. We’ll be able to continue to provide excellent, exciting and educational activities for young people, from all areas of the community, regardless of their circumstances.

FLEXIBLE STUDIOS FOR ALL KINDS OF EVENTS
The Garage houses no less than five professional studio spaces – some of the finest and most flexible in Norwich. Light and airy, our studios offer invigorating spaces for a range of activities not just dance!
Equipped with a range of audio/visual equipment, our studios regularly host meetings, small conferences, exhibitions and workshops.
Whatever event you’ve got planned, we can offer flexible, invigorating venues for your event.

INTIMATE AND PROFESSIONAL PRESENTATIONS
The Garage is home to one of the city’s most flexible and intimate theatre and presentation spaces.
Our theatre auditorium can be arranged in a flat floor, cabaret or raked theatre styles accommodating up to 113 for performance, conference, lectures, presentations and spoken word events.

Competitive Rates
Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 9pm
Saturday, 9am – 1pm (varies week to week, call to discuss)
Studios:
Studio 1 – £36.25 per hour (+VAT)
Studios 2 & 4 – £35 per hour (+VAT)
Studios 3 & 5 – £37.50 per hour (+VAT)
Theatre:
All day, approx 11 hours – £1k / £1.2k with VAT
Lunch time to close, approx 9.5 hours – £800 / £960 with VAT
5pm to close, approx 4.5 hrs – £400 / 480 with VAT
SHORT NOTICE HIRE:
Our great Short Notice Hire rate offers discounted rates to anyone: Studios are just £15 p/h when booked 48 hours or less in advance of the hire date and for rehearsal purposes only. The £15 hire does not apply for workshops participants pay to attend (subject to availability, terms and conditions apply).
Prices shown are per room per hour, Monday to Saturday, excluding VAT + PRS.

Enjoy your special day at The Garage! Our parties are led by professional tutors in our high-quality studios, from kids birthday parties to hen and stag dos, we’ve got you!
At The Garage, our team of professional tutors can offer you the perfect party package, making it a day to remember! Our Arty Party package includes:
- 1 hour in a professional dance studio with a professional tutor – 15-minute showing to family and friends
- Birthday person chooses song and dance style
- A Garage T-Shirt for the birthday person
- Party bags which include: A Garage sweatband, sweets, a Garage frisbee and a free class taster coupon

- Invitations and certificates for all party goers
- £35 to hire our café to have food in – please note, you must provide your own catering
