Hello, and thank you once again to those of you who were able to attend the recent Referral Network Celebration event. It was lovely to see so many of you there as it gave me and my colleagues at The Garage a  chance for us to thank you for your continued belief in what The Garage does.

The commitment and dedication to support young people was so clear on the evening and with the increase in positive outcomes for young people in the last year has a direct link to the growth and good working relationship created within the Network.

I believe that the celebration event clearly illustrates the importance of networking – simply put: the better we work together the more young people get to engage in positive arts provision.

With that in mind I’m pleased to tell you there are still places available on our Creative foundations and Music Foundations course and full details can be found on the website here. If you know of any young people that maybe interested please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Moving forward I have been liaising with numerous Youth organisations around the county, including the Youth Offending Team and Children Services, this is the first step in exploring sharing practice in the areas of Kings Lynn, Thetford and Great Yarmouth. If you know of any organisations working on these areas please let me know.

I’m pleased to report there has already been some good movement with the first ever Thetford networking meeting taking place on the 1st December with the view of bringing arts provision to young people with challenging circumstances and to work together to share experiences.

Thanks again for all your support in making 2016 a successful year and I look forward to working with you all to make 2017 even better!

Merry Christmas
