If you’re passionate about the performing arts or looking to make a meaningful career move, The Garage Norwich has a host of opportunities this October – from full-time roles in the creative sector to part-time GCSE courses in Dance and Drama designed to ignite your talent.

Job Vacancies – Apply by 31st October 2025

Three exciting full-time roles are now open at The Garage Norwich! If you’re ready to shape the future of arts education and community engagement, send a completed application form alongside your CV with a 1-page cover letter to recruitment@thegarage.org.uk by 31st October 2025. CVS are not accepted without a completed application form, and all roles are subjected to an enhanced DBS check. Candidates will be interviewed on Tuesday 11th November 2025.

Creative Director

The Creative Director will be a senior leadership role, responsible for shaping and delivering the organisation’s artistic vision, overseeing programming, production, and participation activities. This full-time position involves managing teams, developing partnerships, leading artist development, and ensuring smooth venue operations. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with experience in creative production, commercial development, and a passion for inclusive performing arts for children and young people.

Marketing and Sales Manager

The Marketing and Sales Manager will lead dynamic campaigns across two venues to boost audience engagement, participant recruitment, and income generation. This full-time role involves managing digital platforms, branding, design, and print, while driving strategic marketing plans that support classes, events, and performances. You’ll oversee a small team, collaborate across departments, and play a key role in audience development, CRM, and communications. If you’re a creative thinker with strong leadership and data-driven decision-making skills, this is your chance to help make The Garage the go-to destination for performing arts.

Venue Services Coordinator

The Venue Services Coordinator is a front-facing role based at reception, responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the building, bookings, and administrative systems. In this full time position, you’ll manage venue hire, coordinate events, handle box office setup, and support marketing efforts – all while providing a warm welcome to visitors and maintaining a proactive, can-do attitude. From liaising and setting up spaces to supporting health and safety, you’ll also be assisting front of house operations 20 hours a week. This role is key to keeping the venue buzzing and running like clockwork.

GCSE Dance & Drama Courses – Enrolment Still Open!

Whether you’re a young performer or an adult learner looking to gain a new qualification, The Garage’s part-time GCSE Qualifications in Dance and Drama are the perfect launchpad.

GCSE Dance
  • For ages 13+, adult learners welcome!
  • 2 hours per week, Thursdays 4.30pm – 6.30pm (term-time only)
  • Across 21 months from October 2025 – June 2027
  • No formal entry requirements; audition includes written and practical tasks
    Modules: Performance, Choreography, Dance Appreciation
    Styles Covered: Contemporary, Ballet, Hip Hop
    Assessment: 60% Practical, 40% Written
    Fees: £2900
GCSE Drama
  • For ages 13+, adult learners welcome!
  • 2 hours per week, Tuesdays 5pm – 7pm (term-time only)
  • Across 21 months from October 2025 – June 2027
  • No formal entry requirements; audition includes written and practical tasks
    Modules: Understanding Drama, Devising Drama, Text in Practice
    Styles Covered: Comedy, Historical, Teen Drama
    Assessment: 60% Practical, 40% Written
    Fees: £2900
