On this page you can find more information about the application process for The Garage Trust accredited courses. These include: GCSE Dance, GCSE Drama (Level 2) & HNC Performing Arts (Level 4).
Information about our qualifications that are open for applications can be found on our education pages.
If you have a question about any of our qualification courses or would like more information, you can fill out our Enquiries Form. This form gets directed to firstname.lastname@example.org and will be forwarded to the best person on our Education Team who can respond to your enquiry. We aim to respond to enquiries within 5 working days.
If you would like to come and have a look around our venue to get a feel for our learning environment, just send us a message using our Enquiry Form. Our friendly Education Team we be proud to show you around our spaces and happy to answer any questions you have.
If you would like to get a flavour of one of our courses, there are a range of taster sessions planned throughout the year. You do not have to have attended one of these taster sessions before you apply for a course – they are open to those of you who have already accepted a place and those of you who have not yet applied or accepted an offer. Check our What’s On page for dates and how to register.
Once the Course Tutor has reviewed your Application Form, they will invite you for an interview. They will ask you to prepare a practical piece of work to show, such as a monologue or a dance and a written piece of work to help them assess your suitability for the level of course you are applying for.
If you are accepted onto the course, you will receive an offer letter within 5 working days of your interview – this will include your acceptance form.
If you are not accepted onto the course, the Course Leader will give you feedback and discuss alternative options for skills development and progression.
You must sign and complete an acceptance form before your place is secured on the course. This must be returned within 10 working days.
Once your acceptance form has been received, we are able to set up your payment plan and you are able to start making payments. This means that the earlier you accept your place, the longer time you have to spread the costs of your course. Payment plans are individually tailored to suit your situation, they are worked out between you and the Accredited Course Programme Manager once you have accepted your place.
Please note: All course fees regardless of when payment plans start must be paid by the end date of the course.
If you have started a payment plan prior to the commencement of your course and then find you are unable to take you place, a full refund of the total of your payments will be made.
