We are really excited to introduce our 2011 summer holiday activities programme!
We will be offering loads of workshops through our ‘Mixers' including street dance, break-dance, acting, beat-boxing, singing, costume and fashion.

Mini Mixers
A range of one day creative workshops led by exciting professional artists and performers. Choose to come along to one or join us for the whole week!
Dates: Monday 1 - Friday 5 August
Ages: 8-12 years
Times: 9am - 2:30pm daily (Parents may drop children off from 8:30am and collect between 2.30pm and 3pm)
Cost: Individual Day: £25 (Discounted £18.75) Or Full Week: £100 (£75 Discounted)

And then... there's the main event! Following last year's sell-out 'Urban Alice in Wonderland' production, we're reassembling our top creative team to bring you a timeless tale of good versus evil... with a twist! A Garage-style magical journey into the world of fairy tale - delightfully dark and deliciously glamorous!
Snow White - a Glamtomime
Imagine a weird and wonderful world of witches, magic mirrors and charming Princes, all infused with a sprinkling of glitter, a little Hip Hop and a dash of curcus... but will they all live happily ever after?
Core to staging this world premier is you! We'll be assembling two performance companies, Juniors and Seniors to take a starring role on stage and get an insight into production, make-up and costumes:
Junior Performance Company
Dates: 15 - 20 August
Ages: 8-12 years
Times: Monday - Thursday: 9am - 2:30pm, Friday 19 TBC, Saturday 20 TBC
Cost: £100 (Discounted £75)
Take centre stage! You'll have loads of fun, make plenty of new friends and learn lots of acting and dance skills. At the end of the week impress all your family and friends as you take a starring role on stage in our sell-out Summer Production.
Senior Performance Company
Dates: 8 - 20 August
Ages: 13-19 years
Times: Monday 8 -Thursday 18: 10am - 3:30pm, Friday 19 TBC, Saturday 20 TBC
Cost: £160 (Discounted £120)
Spend two gloriously creative weeks with us this summer and have a go at acting, singing and dancing plus get an insight into stage make-up and costume as you help us create the fantastical world of this years' summer musical extravaganza, Snow White- a Glamtomime.
You'll get the chance to mix drama with song, slick urban lyrics , B-boy break-outs, musical mash-ups and breath taking street routines . Add in a bit of circus and our very own script and you can expect a performance experience the likes of which you have never enjoyed before. Don't linger at home, get down to The Garage and do something you will never forget. This is your summer, come and get it!
The resulting show will be performed at The Garage on the following dates - all welcome.

Culture Works
Our friends at Culture Works East will be running a range of creative and media workshops with more tips than you'll find in any books!
Giant Puppet Making
Life-size puppet-making, inspired by this year's summer production Snow White.
Dates: Tue 9 & Wed 10 August

Animation Workshop
Work with industry professionals to create your own animation sequences to be showcased at this year's summer production.

Make a Film in 3 Days
Script, plan and shoot a short film which documents this summer's production Snow White.
Dates: Tue 16 - Thu 18 August

Introduction to Photography
Learn the basics, or new techniques in digital photography.

You will get the opportunity to take part in exciting creative activities, watch and review live shows, meet professional artists, learn about careers in the Arts and gain Arts Award qualifications at Bronze, Silver or Gold.
