Support

With so many exciting things happening at The Garage, it is easy to forget that we are actually a charity with a very important mission. We are committed to giving young people, especially those that are disadvantaged or at risk, the means to develop their creativity and skills in order to broaden their opportunities and life choices. This means that we take very seriously our role in helping to provide transferable skills, supporting the school curriculum and working with young people who, for whatever reason, find themselves outside of mainstream provision. There are lots of ways that you can help us to make sure that we can help young people, just when they need us the most.

Make a donation: As a registered charity, we are able to accept donations. You can speak to us any time if you are thinking about donating. You can also donate securely online by using the Big Give and selecting us as the recipient of your donation. Please note that online donations via The Big Give are subject to a small admin charge by The Charities Trust that which operate the service.

Shop online and raise money for free: The Giving Machine enables you to raise money for young people by simply shopping online in all of your favourite retailers such as Ebay, Argos, Amazon and it will never cost you a penny.  It works because it is the online retailer that passes on some of their marketing money as a donation so you get the same great prices and product ranges but the added knowledge that you are helping young people every time you buy. All you need to do is set up an account and select The Garage Trust as you nominated charity and off you go.

Have fun fundraising: We are always keen to hear from people that want to undertake sponsored activities to raise money for The Garage. Whether you are thinking of jumping out of a plane on your own, doing something with your work colleagues, running a marathon or something really weird and wacky, we would love to hear from you!

Share your skills: Like all charities we rely on the help of volunteers. Whether you can give a couple of hours a volunteer regularly every month, we would love to hear from you. In order to make sure everybody is safe, it is our policy to undertake an enhanced criminal records bureau check before each new volunteer starts.

Hire The Garage: Do you work for an organisation that regularly uses meeting facilities in the city centre? If so, do you use The Garage? Every meeting or private event that is held at The Garage helps us to earn the funds we need to develop our work with young people. You can find out more about the excellent facilities and services that we offer on this site.

"You don't realise how many people have changed coming in and out of this building. I've seen people come across in one way but that's not how they actually are. Don't judge a book by its cover. At The Garage this is a place where you don't get judged on who you are or what you are. Here at The Garage you'll not be an outsider in a group" Participant.
