The Garage Staff

LECTURER - PERFORMING ARTS (ACTING SPECIALISM)
£22,000 to £24,500 per annum pro rata 24 hours per week (teaching hours 600 annually).
Part time. You will be required to work across Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays (Sundays term time only).
Fixed term, 10 months (Aug 2019 - April 2020).


We are looking to appoint a part-time lecturer with specialist skills in acting to join our outstanding Performing Arts Faculty.  You will be an experienced, innovative and passionate teacher with the will to drive forward this initiative and provide excellent opportunities for our students.


To complement our long-standing programme of skills and performance classes, in 2016 we launched a suite of accredited courses for students aged 13+. Spearheading this initiative are the Performing Arts Foundation Course (18+) with acting, dance & musical theatre pathways and GCSE Drama and Dance courses (13+). 


The successful applicant will support the delivery of the Foundation Course and lead the delivery of our level 2 provision. You will have a real commitment to vocational education with the ability to truly motivate and inspire learners, together with a commitment to meet our high expectations of academic standards and achievement.

YOUTH ARTS WORKER (0.5)
£18,000 - £19,500 per annum pro rata
Part time. 20 hours per week (to include Thursday & Friday 4pm-7pm during term time)
Fixed term to end March 2020

We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate individual to join our Inclusion team. We want to change people’s lives through art…do you?

You will be working to engage, support and inspire children and young people to access high quality artistic experiences to increase personal, social and transferable skills.

  • FREELANCE OPPORTUNITIES

    SUPPORT WORKERS  

    Opportunity type: Termly
    Time commitment: Minimum of 1 hour per week during term time (term length 10-12 weeks)
    Safeguarding: Support workers will be subject to enhanced DBS checks 
    Progression: Experience and skills gained will suit those looking to work in Arts Delivery, Community Arts, Arts Education, Youth Theatre and Youth Work. 

    We are looking for motivated individuals 18+ who have a desire to help others and have an interest in the arts. You would join our busy team as a support worker, working with and supporting our children and young people through their chosen art form.

    Where possible we will make a CoL increase each year of at least 0.5%, to be reviewed every September.

    We encourage staff to eat their lunch away from their desk, they can do this in any of our vacant spaces – just leave it clean and tidy afterwards
