Funders
The Garage project was set up thanks to an innovative partnership between the NELM Development Trust (A New Deal For Communities funded organization set up to improve the opportunities for residents in the North Earlham, Larkman and Marlpit areas of Norwich) and Norwich Theatre Royal. The independent charity, The Garage Trust (formerly known as The Academy Trust) was established in 2002 to manage the venue and its charitable activities.
Since the venue opened in 2004, a wide range of trusts, foundations, grant giving bodies, statutory organizations, businesses and other supporters have helped us to raise the funds that we need in order to develop charitable projects and activities that support young people, particularly those that are disadvantaged, vulnerable or with the fewest opportunities.
The board of trustees and young people from The Garage would like to thank the following organizations (arranged in alphabetical order) for generously supporting our work:
- Anguishes Foundation

"Since I left Norwich back in 1999, I have followed the journey of The Garage with interest and have been inspired by what has been achieved. Building something new is complex, challenging and does not always lead to a successful outcome. The Garage team has proved that a clear vision, complete commitment and dedication beyond the call of duty has made something that has taken many people on a wonderful journey of creative exploration and skills learning". Marcus Davey, Chief Executive, The Roundhouse
