    Suitable for year 12 & 13, these FREE masterclasses are designed to focus the mind ahead of the assessment cycle, whilst giving students a taste of teaching at The Garage.


    Monday 18 February, 10am-12pm

    A practical workshop looking at how to prepare, rehearse and perform classical texts from the two most popular periods of classical theatre; Ancient Greek and Elizabethan England. This practical workshop will cover the context and original performance conditions of both periods, as well as giving useful ideas, activities and routines to help with the performance of classical text.

    Monday 18 February, 1-3pm

    This workshop will look at how best to handle a monologue in terms of preparation, rehearsal and performance. We will look at vocal practice, movement skills, as well as physical and vocal characterisation, and how all these elements apply to a solo performance.
