If you’re looking for an elegant yet effective core workout, this BarreConcept® fitness class combines elements of Pilates and ballet. It’s specifically designed to sculpt the arms, flatten the abs and lift the bottom. Each term you’ll look at a new sequence of exercises incorporating both ballet influenced barre moves and Pilates influenced mat work. Experience isn’t essential, although you may find it beneficial to have a little ballet or Pilates knowledge. Although this class is low impact it may not be suitable for people who are pregnant or suffering with knee problems, sciatica or osteoporosis.
