Christmas Lights Switch On with Diversity!!!

Dancers from The Garage will be performing on the same stage as the UK's favourite street dancers Diversity at this year's Christmas lights switch on. The event will start on Thursday November 5th at 5pm and the winners of ITV1's Britain's Got Talent will be switching on the lights at 6.30pm.

This will be one of the biggest events in the city this Christmas, and the Garage is delighted to be one of the 17 chosen acts from across the county. Acts include Subminor, the human beatbox. aka 25-year-old Lee Gibling from Thorpe St Andrew, who has been performing for six years and appeared at events including the Garage Slam nights and the Beatboxing Convention at London's Southbank Centre.

Fusion, a dance group of six girls from Norwich, Treble Melody, singing group of mixed ages and The Two Uke's, a two-piece ukulele covers band, will also be there, as will Identity, a street dance team based in Norwich, Swahili singer Joki, who will be accompanied by a live band, and Killamonjambo, a lively seven-piece rock/funk band.

Sheridan Smith, marketing manager at Chapelfield, said: "We invited anyone who wanted to get involved to send us a demo of their act and were really impressed by the high quantity and standard of entries. It shows that Norfolk really is a hotbed of talent. The final decision was based on our being able to showcase a range of different performances on the night. This really will be an event to remember."

An event not to be missed!
