Call for entries for National Young Filmakers Award

The 11th Leeds Young Peoples' Film Festival is now accepting submissions for the 2010 Festival, taking place on 29th March - 9th April 2010

We are now looking for exciting and innovative films made BY children and young people from across the UK. The films can be shorts in any genre (fiction, documentary, animation) and in any format. With an established reputation as the leading young peoples' Film Festival in the United Kingdom, we want films that will excite and motivate our audiences and that showcase the best and newest young filmmakers from around the UK.

The NYFA (National Young Filmmakers' Award) is open to any young filmmakers aged from 0-19 so if you have made a short film (either on your own, at school or with an organisation) then send it to us NOW! If you haven't made a film or it's not finished then there's still time - the deadline for entries is Friday 18th December 2009. You can download the entry form from the website at www.leedsyoungfilm.com

Selected films will be entered into competition where a jury comprising of young people and industry professionals will award £250 prizes in two age categories to the chosen films.

Deadline for entries is Friday 18th December 2009.

If your film is completed, please send it in now!
