Bursaries

We believe that everyone, regardless of their circumstances, should be able to enjoy The Garage,  that is why we have developed a range of discounts and support. They are all applicable to Garage managed activities (You can recognise these by looking out for our logo). Remember that lots of other organisations use The Garage and they will have their own prices and perhaps their own discounts. If you are interested in those, you should contact them direct to check out whether any support is available.

Free bursary places: We offer free bursary places on many of our activities to young people from North Earlham, Larkman, Marlpit, Milecross, Catton and Lakenham areas of Norwich and from some of our partner organisations. Places are limited so you need to register for activities early in order to benefit from a free place. The easiest way to be the first to know what is coming up is to register for our regular email updates and keep an eye on the 'Whats on' section of the website.  You can also contact us to find out more about the scheme.

Half price discounts: We keep all of our prices low but understand that it is difficult to afford to do all the things that you want to do. Therefore, for every activity, that The Garage provides, we include a number of half price places. These are available to households receiving government support or benefits, young people in or leaving care, and those with a Go4Less card (A free sport and leisure card issued by Norwich City Council and available to full time students, those registered with a disability or in receipt of income support). Places are limited so it is best to register for email updates and keep an eye on the 'Whats on' section of the website so that you can reserve your place early.

Scholarships: Thanks to our partnership with Norfolk Dance and Norwich Theatre Royal, we manage a free scholarship programme on some of their courses. There  are places available for young people from 7 years old right through to young adults.  To find out more about our scholarships and to register your interest, contact us.

Other ways we can help: As well as the activities in our ‘What's on' section, we deliver loads of special projects.  If you are interested in what is on offer but worried about some aspect of joining in, or want to know more about what it is like or what things you can try simply contact us.
