Lilli not enjoying the snow

In anticipation of Ditto Theatre’s visit with Ingo’s War, we are giving away two free tickets to the show here at The Garage on Thursday 5th April.

All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning these is to take a photo of your pet on an adventure! They could be trekking through the highest of mountains? Discovering faraway lands? Or simply playing in last week’s snow? We'd love to know what mischief your pets are up to!

To get you warmed up here are some of the adventures staff at The Garage’s pets have had.

A little trip to Cromer beach on a very fresh January afternoon with Ava 4 and half year old chocolate labrador who adores swimming and being silly on the beach. The friendliest dog you could meet.

This day was no ordinary day it was humans birthday and to celebrate we went to the beach. The beach is my mostest favourite place because I get to be free and be silly and not care about who is watching. I also am a very keen swimmer and have been awarded top 10 in Norfolk County as I can brace the cold icy lakes. I am also pretty good at fetch and do actually drop the ball or stick. I also have a dad and I adore him. He plays silly games with me like tug of the dressing gown rope which is cool. From Ava xx

This is my cat Lilli having her first adventure in the snow. It didn’t come to much; she was outside for about 10 minutes then got freaked out, ran back inside and sat by the radiator!

Marcy at The Garage Marcy at The Garage

The Beast from the East was no match for Marceline the wonder dog as she braved the artic weather as she heard The Garage was a bit under-staffed, and she wanted to give a helping paw to her owner. She had a lovely time, and enjoyed meeting Yax who clearly is a dog person and keeps a ball in his drawer at work.

We asked Marceline why she decided to go on an adventure and she said:

“It’s the leashed I could do! Everyone was working like a dog, so I thought why shouldn’t the dog work? Do you want to hear a joke? Q: Why aren't dogs good dancers? A: Because they have two left feet!”

When Marcy got home a lovely roaring fire and some treats were waiting for her.

Carrie's and her best friends pets have really been affected by the weather and are exhibiting some very odd behaviour.

INGO'S WAR

Owned and cherished by a young girl living in the city of London, life for Ingo is as easy as pie. Yet as war looms once more and the Blitz becomes a very immediate danger, the girl and her dog are evacuated to the country. But when Ingo is left on the train, he is suddenly plunged into an adventure which tips his steady world upside down.

Using their unique style, an amalgamation of storytelling, puppetry and movement, with an original score, award-winning Ditto Theatre Company tells this heart-warming tale of bravery, hope and finding courage where you thought you had none.
