Mr Norm

Holt Youth Project band Mr Norm helped raise money for their youth centre by playing a fundraising gig at Voewood Hall.

The four band members – Florence, Carlo, Connor and Megan - are young carers who’ve been learning to play instruments and write songs with the support of music tutors Ian and Paul from The Garage.

They played to an appreciative audience in the historic setting of Voewood Hall in High Kelling, a country house built in the Arts and Crafts era, and home to a unique collection of pop art, Victorian prints, retro objects and rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia.

Holt Youth Project is an organisation which supports young people across north Norfolk to reach their full potential and meet their own aspirations. Their Young Carers programme supports children and young people who find themselves helping family members in a caring role, whether short-term or long-term.

The song writing sessions were funded through The Garage’s Youth Music programme which gives young people in challenging circumstances opportunities to make music.
