The Garage is managed on a day to day basis by the Theatre Royal and as such it is this
organisation that is responsible for data protection. We will, from time to time, share
statistical information with monitoring organisations, such as the Academy Trust, that are
responsible for the strategic development and evaluation of the Garage project. This
statistical information is reported regularly to Government Office. Our privacy principles
demonstrate our commitment to maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of all
information that we collect.
The Garage operates a booking service on behalf of some other arts and training organisations that deliver activities within The Garage and elsewhere. Some of these organisations are members of our Principal User Group and have made a commitment to providing specific opportunities within the Garage and region for people to engage with the arts. We would like to add or retain your name, contact details and interest areas expressed so that we may contact you when suitable opportunities arise within the Garage or through one of our associate organisations. This means that you could receive information from those organisations with which we work. We take every care that you will only be contacted with details of activities that you have expressed an interest in and that you will not be contacted by a non-arts or non-training organisation. Under no circumstances will we share any of your registration information with third parties without your permission. (by law users must positively opt-in to specific third party information). In addition to that given on your registration form, our computers automatically retrieve information on your browsing behaviour through the site. This is used only in combined form; no individual user is identified. We can recognise visitors' IP address and their country but we cannot identify their email addresses or any other personal information.
